THE SALVATION ARMY CELEBRATES 75th TREE OF LIGHTS CAMPAIGN

Nov 19, 2022

The Salvation Army Tree of Lights campaign is a historic tradition that rings in the Christmas season throughout the region. This year marks the 75th anniversary of The Salvation Army's Tree of Lights campaign in the Greater St. Louis area. This fundraising campaign's goal is $6.2M, and is critical to supporting The Salvation Army services and support provided year-round.

The Tree Lighting ceremony takes place at Kiener Plaza on Saturday, November 19th, beginning at 5 p.m. The Salvation Army Brass Band and Sya will provide the live music.

Tree of Lights Co-Chairs, Rick Horton, Cardinals Broadcaster, and Marty J Lyons Jr., President and CEO of Ameren Corporation, will join The Salvation Army Midland Division's Lt. Colonels Bob and Collette Webster, along with Majors Kjell and Vicki Steinsland at the Tree of Lights fundraising campaign kick-off event.

There are many ways to participate in Tree of Lights campaign, from bellringing, taking part in the Schnucks "Round-Up" at the register campaign, at Mueller Furniture stores or by adopting an Angel as part of the Angel Tree campaign. Donations can also be made directly to The Salvation Army at its 75th Tree of Lights virtual Red Kettle.

The Red Kettle campaign offers volunteer opportunities to assist with fundraising by ringing bells at the famous Salvation Army red kettles located throughout the St. Louis area, or setup a virtual kettle to raise funds, by signing up at www.registertoring.com.
