Give From Your Home and Heart on April 21 to Help Our Neighbors Impacted by COVID-19

Apr 16, 2020

On April 21st, join thousands of our neighbors in Missouri and Southern Illinois and around the country in support of those among us who are hardest hit by COVID-19... from the safety of your home.

This national fundraising drive puts the power of giving into the hands of Americans who are anxious to help neighbors and strangers alike who struggle with the economic and health impacts of the new coronavirus (COVID-19).

With people out of work, small businesses closed, schools shut down, and seniors more isolated than ever, the concept of helping our neighbors and communities has been brought to the forefront of social conversation.

For people that rely on The Salvation Army, their needs have increased with the growing crisis. Furthermore, the number of new individuals and families we are serving grows every day. That's because, regardless of the pandemic, food insecurity has not gone away. Funding is urgently needed to continue our food assistance, mortgage/rent payments, utility assistance, and much more.

The pandemic has made millions of Americans reliant on — and increasingly skilled at —  the technologies that are connecting us. #GiveFromHomeDay on April 21 will focus attention on the act of giving and helping fellow Americans in the age of COVID-19.
