The Salvation Army North Texas Inclement Weather Shelters

Warming Shelters:

Shelters are opened when temperatures reach 36 degrees or below, consistentlyEach shelter is following guidelines by the city and the county, so exact protocols may vary depending on location.

 

  • In Dallas County, The Salvation Army of North Texas is operating with the continuum of care with the City of Dallas to shelter people in hotels and at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center during inclement weather nights. Call 211 for more information. The Garland Corps is also offering inclement weather shelter.

 

  • In Tarrant County, The Salvation Army of North Texas is operating with the continuum of care with the City of Fort Worth to shelter families in hotels during inclement weather nights. Call 211 for more information. The Arlington Corps is also offering inclement weather shelter in partnership with the City of Arlington.

We’re also accepting new or gently used blankets, coats, hats, gloves, scarves, or hand warmers at any of our inclement weather shelters listed above  if it’s safe to drive.
