JCPenney Cares!

Thank you for Rounding Up with JCPenney Cares!

The Salvation Army, Texas Division, received a portion of funds raised as a result of our national partnership with JCPenney. Each month JCPenney Cares supports a new cause, inviting customers to “round up” their purchases to the nearest dollar. This past holiday season The Salvation Army was the designated charity for the month of December.

The Texas Division received an amazing $282,574.45 from the Round Up program! In addition, $2,777.77 was provided to The Salvation Army through the JCPenney holiday button promotion. As a result, five Area Commands (Dallas Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, El Paso) 25 Corps locations and 15 Service Units/Centers benefitted from this national program. Funds go towards funding various programs and services specific to their respective communities.

Thank you to all or our supporters for “rounding up” at JCPenney and helping The Salvation Army continue the promise of ‘Doing The Most Good’ in communities throughout Texas.

About The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army, an evangelical part of the universal Christian church established in 1865, has been supporting those in need in His name without discrimination for 130 years in the United States. Nearly 30 million Americans receive assistance from The Salvation Army each year through the broadest array of social services that range from providing food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless and opportunities for underprivileged children. 81 cents of every dollar spent is used to carry out those services in 5,000 communities nationwide.
