Correctional Services

The Salvation Army offers a variety of correctional services to assist incarcerated men and women, those in transition from prison to the community and troubled youth. These include Bible correspondence courses, a transportation program to help families visit incarcerated relatives, a Christmas gift program for children of the incarcerated and chaplaincy services.

Correctional Services Volunteers are needed:

  • Help us with worship services held at prisons on weekends.
  • Travel with us during December as we make Christmas visits.
  • Grade and log correspondence course work.
  • Process and mail Certificates of Completion.
  • Assist with administrative and clerical tasks.

Fresh Start

The Fresh Start program at The Salvation Army in Waco provides 50 beds for federal prisoners. The Program provides life skills, case management, tracking, employment links and pre-release reintegration.

The Salvation Army RRC has a Zero-Tolerance Policy toward sexual abuse and/or sexual harassment of residents and employees. All investigations of sexual abuse and harassment will be conducted by the Waco Police Department.
