When disaster strikes, it leaves a trail of carnage in its wake-homes destroyed, belongings lost forever, even lives that have been taken. The survivors are often left with little, if anything, and must begin their lives over. Food, shelter, clothing, medicine, and other things that were assumed to be there from one day to the next suddenly vanish, leaving fear, doubt, and a crisis of faith.
The Salvation Army is ready to offer victims of both natural and man-made disasters the basic necessities to keep them safe and healthy. We coordinate with many other organizations and emergency management systems to provide the most efficient services to these victims.
