Our youth programs are designed to help our
young people in Texas develop socially, intellectually
and spiritually. Our desire is to see our young
people grow into successful and responsible
leaders in their communities. We want our youth
to be intelligent individuals who set their
educational goals high and pursue a college
degree. We want our young people to encounter
Jesus Christ and develop a closer relationship
with Him.
Some of our youth programs include:
After-school Programs:
Many of our locations provide daily after-school
programs, ensuring a fun and safe learning
environment for children. Our programs provide
training in social skills, help with schoolwork
and the opportunity to participate in a variety
of physical education activities.
Boys and Girls Clubs:
Across Texas, we have joined forces with
the Boys and Girls Clubs of America for the
betterment our children. Through this partnership,
we are able to provide a wider array of youth
activities, which in turn means better programming
and more effective mentoring for thousands
of children.
Youth athletic leagues can be very expensive
for parents. League fees, uniforms and personal
equipment can stretch a family’s budget
to the breaking point. Because we believe
these activities provide safe, wholesome recreation
for children as an alternative to drugs, mischief
and gang activity, we offer low-cost youth
sports leagues giving all children the opportunity
to play basketball, football, baseball or
soccer. We also provide all the necessary
equipment and some centers even provide uniforms.
Scout-type programs:
We have Scout-type programs for boys and
girls, complete with character building programs,
training manuals and an exciting slate of
activities. Girls participate in Sunbeams
and Girl Guards. Boys participate in the Adventure
Corps.
Summer Day Camp:
During the summer when school is out, we
offer Summer Day Camp programs to provide
a place for children of working parents to
go during the weekdays. While in our care,
the children can participate in recreational
activities such as sports, games and field
trips to exciting places like the zoo or a
water park. Educational components are available
through computer labs, tutoring and mentoring.
