The Salvation Army Angel Tree Kick-Off

Picture1

For various reasons hundreds of children in the Amarillo area won’t experience Christmas this year. Beginning November 13, 2015 through December 13, 2015, The Salvation Army will offer holiday shoppers the opportunity to make a child’s Christmas dream come true by adopting a child through its Angel Tree Program. The Angel Tree will contain hundreds of Angels draping from its branches. Each Angel hanging represents a needy child in the Amarillo area who is awaiting adoption.

Additionally, corporations or businesses may choose to decorate Christmas Trees with Angels at their place of business for employees to adopt. After selecting an Angel, the purchased, unwrapped gifts are returned to the Angel Tree location no later than December 13, 2015. After gifts have been collected, we will begin setting up to distribute gifts to families at the Rex Baxter building.
