Chick-Fil-A Makes Sure No Angels Are Forgotten

Return Your Angels

Chick-Fil-A Joins The Salvation Army Once Again

chick-fil-a-westgate-malltree

The Salvation Army has all angels adopted but not all have been returned. The Angel Tree closes on Thursday, December 15, 2016. We still have almost 300 angels out of about 2,000 angels that still need to be returned this year. Chick-Fil-A is helping to make sure that happens and that no Angels are forgotten. Tuesday, December 13th, 2016, from 4:00pm-6:00pm, the Chick-Fil-A cow will be at the Westgate Mall Angel Tree. When an Angel is returned, the person returning the Angel will receive a Chick-Fil-A gift card to be redeemed at The Westgate Mall.

Remember, come support The Salvation Army and return your Angels today to receive a FREE item from Chick-Fil-A at the Westgate Mall! Please help us make sure that no Angel is forgotten.

The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign is our biggest fundraiser of the year to provide financial support for our yearly services. Each kettle location that is manned by a volunteer means more funding to help those in need in our community. United Supermarket will give of their employees’ time on “Giving Tuesday, November 28th, and will have each of their doors manned by one of the United “U Crew” employees. (The United “U Crew” is the United Supermarkets volunteer group made up of their employees). Giving back doesn’t always have to be a financial investment…we can all give back somehow.

Celebrate Thanksgiving At The Salvation Army…We Are In Need Of Desserts

Celebrate Thanksgiving Dinner At The Salvation Army!

You Can Help In Many Ways

thanksgiving6

The Salvation Army invites the Amarillo community to join us for Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday November 24, 2016.  If you find yourself alone or would love to partake in a holiday experience, please join us from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at the Harrington Hope Center, 400 S. Harrison Street, Amarillo (Enter at 5th and Harrison door). We will serve a restaurant style dining atmosphere complete with hostesses, a sit-down dinner, servers, and great table conversation. If you are looking for a great place to spend Thanksgiving, we welcome you to be a part of our holiday meal at The Salvation Army of Amarillo. No one has to be alone for the holidays.

We are in need of home baked desserts. On Thanksgiving Day we love for those who dine with us to have options just as most of us do in our own homes during the holidays. If you can’t give of your time that day maybe you can help out by baking a dessert! We would like to have all desserts turned in by 12pm Wednesday November 23rd, 2016 or at least receive a courtesy call that you will be bringing a dessert.

For more information about The Salvation Army programs, services, or to volunteer please call our main office at (806)373-6631. Secure donations can be made online at www.salvationarmytexas.org/Amarillo or by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY(Specify Amarillo).

The Salvation Army Angel Tree Kick-off

The Salvation Army Angel Tree Kick-Off

We Believe That Every Child Deserves A Little Christmas

angel-tree-angel

For various reasons hundreds of children in the Amarillo area won’t experience Christmas this year. Beginning November 17, 2016 through December 15, 2016, The Salvation Army will offer holiday shoppers the opportunity to make a child’s Christmas dream come true by adopting a child through its Angel Tree Program. The Angel Tree will contain hundreds of Angels draping from its branches. Each Angel hanging represents a needy child in the Amarillo area who is awaiting adoption.
