When you think of The Salvation Army you may think of our brand promise, ‘Doing the Most Good’, the Red Kettle Campaign, our Disaster Services, or basic needs services. However, what many people do know know is that primarily The Salvation Army is a Christian church. We meet people’s physical needs and heal souls through our spiritual ministry – by sharing the love of Jesus Christ and the promise of salvation. We want to help you explore what it means to have a personal relationship with God.

Whether church is already part of your life or you are experiencing faith for the first time, you are always welcome at any of our Worship and Service Centers in Texas. The Salvation Army is a church home to many on Sundays, but we also offer spiritual ministries during the week.

Our spiritual ministries include:

Worship & Service Centers

With more than 60 Worship and Community Centers in Texas, The Salvation Army offers a Worship Service, plus programming for adults and children every Sunday. Salvation Army Officers are ordained pastors and, in step with our military-style language, our church members are called Soldiers.

Weekly Ministry Programs

In addition to Sunday worship and Sunday School, The Salvation Army also provides a number of weekday activities for people of all ages. Most Salvation Army centers offer Bible study, youth groups, and music programs.

Pastoral Counseling

Salvation Army Officers (pastors) are available to help you work through any season in life – spiritual or emotional. They offer advice based on God’s word and will pray with you for the strength to press on. Whether you are facing the loss of a loved one, working through a struggle in your personal faith or just need some solid advice, The Salvation Army is here to help.
